BlueNight® Oximeter |
|
Principle : BlueNight®
Oximeter is a portable system including an oximeter sensor and a PDA (Personal
Digital Assistant). Over a night recording, the data collected from the
sensor are transmitted in real time to the PDA via wireless communication
using BlueTooth® technology. - Sleep apnoea syndrome: Programming mode (1 to 5 scheduled recordings), combined with a simplicity and accessibility for the patient, make BlueNight Oximeter particularly suitable for ambulatory monitoring, but also in hospital. An automatic analysis of the signals recorded during the sleep allows the report generation in a Word file. This one shows the detailed results of the oxygen fluctuation and autonomic microarousals, which are consequences of respiratory disorders, occurred during the sleep.
- Effort Test within the framework of the respiratory insufficiency: The wireless communication between the oximeter and the PDA provides more freedom and simplicity during the test. Our software installed on the PDA guides the user and divides the recording into three distinct phases without interruptions (rest, effort, recovery). Immediate measurement of patient’s dyspnoea at rest and after effort could be performed by using the analogical visual scale displayed on the PDA. After the achieved distance was entered by the user, an automatic analysis of the heart rate and oxygen saturation during the different phases of the test allows the report generation in a Word file. This one shows the results of the patient as well as the theoretical distance value according to its age, its sex, its size and its weight. A functionality allows to generate a report integrating several tests from the same patient. This option is particularly efficient for following evolution of your patient.
Benefits : Its small and lightweight size combined with the use of BlueTooth® technology make BlueNight® Oximeter fully portable whilst allowing the patient more freedom and comfort during the night. Its single sensor makes installation simple before going to bed and limits any potential malfunction during recording. This device reduces the equipment required for diagnosing sleep apnoea syndrome and provides an ambulatory detection solution.
